This 3+ct “Bubble Gum Pink” Diamond could sell for $8 Mil at Christies May 28th auction in Hong Kong.
A 3.44-carat fancy vivid purplish-pink modified brilliant-cut diamond could garner as much as $8 million at a Hong Kong jewelry auction next week.
The “Bubble Gum Pink,” set in a ring by Moussaieff and surrounded by pear-shaped pink and marquise-cut white diamonds, is expected to be the top lot of Christie’s “Magnificent Jewels” auction on May 28.
The jewelry auction features more than 260 lots of rare jewels, including an exceptional 3.01-carat fancy vivid blue VS1 diamond expected to sell for between $4.7-$7 million.
Also heading to the auction block are several exceptional gemstone and jadeite pieces.
“Grand Muzos,” pictured below, is a pair of earrings featuring 23.34-carat and 23.18-carat Colombian no-oil emeralds, accented with pearls and brilliant-cut diamonds (3.01 carats each) in platinum.
Named for Muzo, the legendary source of Colombian emeralds, the earrings are expected to sell for between $3.8-$6.5 million.
